Square One Salon & Day Spa nearly doubled the size of its downtown Dayton location through this renovation and expansion.
The 5,400-square-foot layout included 11 styling stations, a large retail sales area, a newly furnished waiting area with fireplace, five treatment rooms, pedicure and manicure stations, an office, service station and large classroom for training stylists and clinics.
The design incorporated exposed mechanical equipment and lighting for industrial décor, softened with warm tone finishes, natural wood floors, low-level lighting and multiple seating areas with fabric and leather furnishings.
Located on the ground floor of a multi-story mixed-use building in downtown Dayton (The Cannery), the building required an OBC Section 3412 code review to meet building code and occupancy requirements.
