Client: The Siebenthaler Company
Beavercreek, Ohio
Project Responsibilities: Concept Design, Cost Estimating, Construction Documents, and Construction Observation
Siebenthaler’s, a 140-year-old family run landscaping business, operates a year-round garden center and nursery in Beavercreek, Ohio. A renovation to the property included a new garden center designed in the style of a early 20th century farm building. A covered porch gives customers easy access to the three areas of the center: an indoor garden sales area, an outdoor garden sales area and a greenhouse. Automatic sliding doors at each entrance fold open in nice weather to create 14-foot openings. The design allows for natural light in the indoor retail area to make customers feel like they are outdoors. The checkout area services both indoor and outdoor customers through rolling shutters that open to the covered entry. The facility is wheelchair accessible.
