Caesar Creek Vineyard Master Plan

Caesar Creek Vineyard

Client: Caesar Creek Vineyards

New Jasper, Ohio

Project Responsibilities:
A design plan for Caesar Creek Vineyard, nestled on a 200-acre farm in rural southwest Ohio, envisions a new winery and events facility as well as gardens, pathways and picnic areas across the grounds.

An existing early 19th century brick residence would be renovated into a tasting room and events center. The first floor plan includes a large gathering room with tasting bar, seating areas, fireplace, retail area and adjacent sunroom. Also on the first floor, a new kitchen accommodates catering services, a large three-sided covered porch area provides space for seating and dining, and an open verandah gives way to panoramic views across the valley. Three guests suites with bathrooms would be located on the second floor and would be accessible from both the first floor gathering room and porch. The basement would be renovated for mechanical equipment and storage.

An existing equipment shed is slated as the winery. The first floor would include an office, restroom, covered outdoor crush pad, tank room and transition area, bottling area, laboratory, labeling room with storage and utility room with janitor’s sink. A wine cave and backup tank room are located on the lower level.

Other projects on the property include:

— Silos and barn siding painted in historic colors compatible with the tasting room, event center and winery.

— Renovations of an equipment shed and grain bin to create a storage area for tools. Also to be painted in historic and compatible colors.

— A landscaping and site development plan that includes creating a formal garden between the event facility and winery/tasting room and a series of gravel or mulched pedestrian pathways with visitor seating and picnic areas at strategic locations to take advantage of the views.
